Vindication

Thursday AM, March 19, 2016.  I slept 2.4 hours. But not letting myself mope around or feel useless again.

So the AT&T Microcell booster is in the process of installing itself.  I plugged in all the component parts, followed the directions on-line, and am now waiting for the 90 minute installation process to run its course.  We shall see.  I have not connected something around this house since we moved in 4 years ago.

And now I am going to get myself ready to take Jake and Ryan to school for the second time this week.

Let’s do this today.

  1. Josh,

It’s been a long time, but I wanted to reach out and say I’m thinking about you and keeping you in my thoughts as you go on this journey. You always had the eye of the tiger so I’m not surprised to read this blog and know, unequivocally, you are going to win this fight. They say people get what they can handle. You’re courage and positivity is proof of that. Anyway, it’s been a long time since we ran our Country Store kiosk together, but it always considered you a member of the Beachwood class of ’96.

    Warmest regards,

    1. Wynbrandt! So damn good to read this and hear from you. The Country Store a real blast from the past. I remember drawing stuff with you (envelopes, stationary etc) that was so damn original. Amazing. Lots of history man. And it really has been a long time.

No doubt I have heard through the grapevine that you have been kicking ass. Was really impressed when I heard about all of your success out West. That is great stuff. You should be proud.

I really appreciate the words and you reaching out. It is incredible when you close your eyes and remember back 30 years to so many different moments that were to key to the people we all became. Whether it was hanging out on your street (on Halloween or otherwise), swimming over at Spitz’s house, the Country Store, reading each other’s creative writing in 9th grade (and I swear that I remember thinking to myself that you knew what you were doing then…), running away from your brother after he threatened to kick my ass for the 100th time. Lots and lots of great memories that I will never forget.

I definitely got this thing and will fight through to the other side. But would be good to get in touch and hear about what has happened in your life since I left in 1993. By the way, I found 2 picture albums from the going away party you guys threw me at Sarah Salisbury’s house in June 1993. If I figure out how to post pictures on the internet (this social media stuff is all frankly new to me), I will send them your way. Great to hear from your Bryan. Stay in touch.
